I will explore the populated areas again in the disguise of a young, unkempt traveler, moving in darkness to hide the blemishes on my skin. I seek to find information on things that the tawny creature has done, any direct actions that it has taken directly. I want to hear of its weaknesses, its signature moves, its likes and dislikes, and whatever else.

You discover that the tawny creature committed the ultimate act of blasphemy to the mute giants: he tore up one of their books. All of them working together were capable of repelling him.

The castle guards say the creature occasionally rips huge chunks off the castle with swipes of his paws (he stole the roof of one of the towers). Fortunately, the ever-changing nature of the castle gives it a lot of extra endurance.

Well the mute giants shall inexplicably discover a cache of a few hundred books in the foundation of an old building.

Hmph. I shall just carry on then, for now. My plan with the sslugs is more important for now. I'll get back to this later. Though I will keep an eye on the giants.

And that foundation will be reinforced with the metals of the earth! Barricaded with clay on the outsides, sealed with the stuff on the ceiling to reduce moisture.

Giants! We must recruit th' Giants!

I'll start a correspondence. Each day, an entire new volume, penned by machine and dictated by I, will appear in a convenient chamber of th' Giants'. It'll contain I's thoughts on what they might do ta help against th' Sslugs, and a**i' their strengths! In size alone they might be seen ta be mighty warriors. Mebbe they have some sort of arcane knowledge that'll be of assistance?

The giants agree to help. Together, they have lore and skill in rituals of many different sorts.

The impenetrable library they immortalize, and gather to conduct much of their important business from here out.

They communicate among each other gracefully, without speech or gesture. Truly, they are not mind-readers; rather they simply know what each does best and how to take advantage of that.

Beautiful. These giants alone should be reason enough for any sentient being to spare this Facet.

The giants immediately know which books you might need, offering a circumstance highly in favor of whomsoever casts Steep imprisonment spells.

This is a difficult task for an omnipresent being, however. DM Favor is usually involved, either directly or through a Refractive Facet (pocket universe). Someone learns the Facet's rules before they choose whether to enter the Refractive Facet, so this technique is difficult.
