I will next explore the islands that keep popping up. Is there anything of note upon them? If an island starts disappearing, I get off of it as soon as possible.

The islands are small, and every time they reform they are different, like batter dropped on a griddle.

With some work, you notice a correlation between the position of the islands and the structure of the castle. One region might code for crenellations, another the position of towers, the shape of the outer walls. You don't find any easy way to influence where the islands form, however.

Hmm. A fascinating system. I wonder if Thrash could alter the construction of the castle with his Earth domain? I calculate a position that could be used by Thrash to create an island corresponding to a small extension that would not ruin the structural security of the castle.

Heck yeah! I rearrange the islands to grid out a huge training grounds with tons of levels and cover for the Council's soldiers to train in. We can quickly add access routes for them or training scenarios to prepare for certain situations.

We can also use the interesting properties of this castle much to our advantage. Weary soldiers can be taken into the timeless space of nonexistence until the end of the battle and then returned. Likewise, adding rooms with soldiers in them can be used to quickly stage surprising attacks.

A fox suddenly appears from Yerkan's shadow, twice the size of an average fox with a pelt as black as a moonless night.
He sleepily yawns before speaking.
Ragnarok huh, building an army, training grounds, islands and such, fungus and diodes. So much is happening, and we do so much in return. I sure hope this pretty garden can handle our interventions. I've noticed plenty a stalking grounds around here, I wouldn't mind visiting if a less serious time would present itself. I sure hope my "soldiers" and "rooms" can take part here.
The fox winks at Yerkan.
But it is the fox that claims the pond for himself and sells it to the duck, does he not?

An appreciative chuckle greets Volatilus' last line, coming from many directions.

No, the gold does not cancel their disappointment. If you persist they will take it as a gift, though they seem to place no value in it.

They begin a system of gift exchange, providing beef or ale whenever you present a try.
