A Note and a Sapling

[Ptah]

Deep in the Lava Molt, in the fork of two tiny streams of molten adamas, a little sapling pokes up. Just two leaves and about three inches of tender green shoot has fought its way through the blackened crust of dried lava. Next to the sapling is a note:

"To Trickster.
This tree needs a lot of adamas to survive, but once it gets old enough it'll bear fruit. But instead of traditional fruit, the tree will produce little roles of paper! Each one will have a different joke or riddle or prank idea. I just thought you might find them funny.
From Ptah."

[Diamond Master]

A cat's forelimb slowly pokes its way up through the ash in mockery of the tree. It eventually opens, after absorbing enough heat, with another note:

"Ptah Dearest,
I was very tempted to stomp out this sapling. Very tempted. Very, very tempted. I hope these are good jokes.
From, ?????"

Another note:

"To Trickster.
I don't pretend to be a great comedian, or to really know your sense of humor, but I think they're funny.

I'm going to erect a "slapling" in case he only appreciates physical humor.
