Once again, the monkey thing has to factor into our decision. Do we split our efforts? Do we try to see what he wants? Do we try, outSteeped, to destroy Sslugs and tawny creature?

Just glanced at the sslugtrail again. I don't think it's finished!

On the other hand, we probably don't care much at this point. But there is a chance it'll help us to know the whole thing.

This...is not going well for the Council...

I have a...unique...proposal....that perhaps no one else has considered at all...

Kill Xyr.

Yes...Xyr is a Worldcrafter god who has not been involved in things...he presumably has at least his Favor from spawning...he would not put up much of a fight.

If he did...we could always back off...

Let's call it a proposal of last resort.

We may be able to demand either his help or his Favor, at threat of complete destruction.

Xyr has seemingly done nothing; I cannot even tell if he has been watching the events of this world. I would not oppose avenging his apathy.

Xyr will be sent an email on the subject, notifying him that his life is in danger.

So...

I have been within the Citadel, and will hopefully make it out alive before I am discovered. Hopefully without too dire of repercussions.

In any case, I bring reconnaissance from within. It is a largely cybernetic construction, and I believe that the creator and pilot of this thing is most likely a technomancer of some sort. It fires the arrows from a large bow - a powerful artifact, no doubt - and is himself covered in hives upon hives of the accursed trilobites, so I know very little about it, other than its approximate size (very large; it's bow would well serve as a ballista).

The insides of the Citadel are protected as well as the outside; even while invisible its mechanical appendages have reached to capture me (this I will hopefully be able to avoid).

The Citadel will also soon be leaving. And not just scampering away over the horizon, but retreating into the depths of space and time. We may not have another chance to deal with it. Hopefully, this will grant us a break from the hail of arrows, however...

On another note, what should we do with the tawny creature imprisoned within Thrash's Mountain?

I's in on this plan. Sounds like Xyr never responded, eh?

Let us do it. We have enough might to simply fill every slot. While he is sleeping, I shall have the earth creep up slowly about him, inch by inch, warming it from below so he scarcely feels it, even once wholly entrapped.

I prick Xyr with the estoc and draw out some of his blood for testing in the estoc's hilt.

I pad the earth that Thrash creates with a cloth that feels light and almost like air against the skin, so that until the compression comes, Xyr will feel nothing and be taken by surprise.
