The Spawn of Earnaness

Postby Great Thrash » Mon Oct 15, 2012 8:12 pm

The biggest question for our council right now should be the one immediate threat. Earnaness' child claims to come as messenger, but brings no description of its delivery product, no name, no apology.

Her words seem portentous. I worry for the Garden. Should the dragon be slain? What should be done about the package it purportedly brings? What should be done about future dragons?

This dragon is mysterious. Slaying it outright would be both difficult and potentially rob us of more valuable information. According to the creature, Nidhogg himself is coming to tear apart the Hypercone Tree. The garden is valuable, but I shudder to think what would happen if the home of the Norns were destroyed.

If we fight it and bring it to its knees we can perhaps get some information out of it.

And of course there are more traps and mysteries involved here than we might think. There was the strange laughter in the trees. Possibly an illusion caused by the dragon, possibly something else altogether. Possibly even the package brought by the dragon.

But my rambling does us no good. The dragon is here already. Seeking something in the gardens. I am not important to it; I am only some quarry to be hunted for sport. It's after something bigger. I say we do not let the dragon be.

I wager if we all got tagether we could teach it a thing or two. Wrasslin' it to th' ground is a good start, if we're agreed.

Yes! We who know and love the pulse of the good earth can handle this danger.

A capture of the dragon seems the best route, for sure. but we cannot expect to hold it in the earth indefinitely can we? we must seduce it to submission or craft a great prison for it and others whose destruction becomes impossible, but whose presence cannot be tolerated think

A temporary Refractive Facet is doable. I could also forge something that'd do th' trick.
