Guess the Garchank/Griblit Rules

This is a wordsmith game. It is played largely via personal message (PM).
Each day, the GM posts a clue to the identity of the secret word in the form of a sentence.

Any part of speech is acceptable, though the typical G&G are noun forms.

Code: Select all
1. Most everyone has a griblit.

Then each player submits their guess as to the identity of the word.

/msg DM:
A pancreas

Players have approximately two days in which to submit their guesses. At the end of each phase, the GM will post a new hint and the players will post a new guess.
Code: Select all
2. Some young children are too young for a griblit.

If a player thinks they have it right, they may continue to send the same response.
Code: Select all
3. There are many styles of griblits.

Clues get progressively more specific.

4. Griblits are often quite easy to repair, even if you're not an expert.

7. Unlike automotives, griblits are powered by pedals.

There will be between 3 and 10 clues.

When the game begins, the GM will also post a scoring system. In this case, the answer was
Spoiler: show
a bicycle
and the scoring system is as follows:
1. 20
2. 15
3. 10
4. 7
5. 5
6. 3
7. 1

The example player would receive 1+3+7 = 11 points out of a possible (but unlikely) 61.

There are always two games going at a time: Guess the Griblit and Guess the Garchank. Each has the same number of clues. The player's score is the result of both games added together.

The highest scorer overall receives the prize (usually Favor). In the case of a tie, the prize will be split.

You may do as much research as you want into the clues, but you may not talk to other players.
