The Crystal Sslugs of the Test

This is the aesthetic centre of the Gardens. Here, great animals roam freely; here, the artworks and monuments of every culture are arranged. It is the most stunning neutral territory. Gnarly nighttwists, elegant yellow musk creepers, strong assassin vines, beautiful rare and Steep herbs, all grow here in attractive proportions. Each is laced with just a touch of magic frost which enables it to survive in the adamas-rich, strong-smelling soil.

Simultaneously:
The field projector immediately causes Amatin to fall to the ground.
Mix begins an immediate bargaining process with me in the tower. It spends an amount of Favor to fill a major slot in support of the Sslugs: the Weakness slot.
Wounds open on Durin's body, and Amatin's vitriol assaults his open defenses. Amatin cannot aim intelligently, but a strong hit could take Durin out of this fight.
Durin presses the offensive with his reprogrammer, beginning to input Yerkan's virus.
Yerkan sneaks up the wave and leaps for the Citadel.
IMMEDIATELY, the rain of arrows from the Citadel becomes incredibly more dire. Fire completes the arrowshafts now, and they leave burning trails and caustic scars wherever they score something.

The dice are cast. Nothing to do now but wait in the shadow of Aides and duck beneath Thrash's mountain, hoping that the hellfire will not completely destroy me.

Durin's craft and Yerkan's knowledge prove too much for Amatin's programming, which becomes corrupt. Amatin goes into a fury, lashing out with body and laser alike, in a truly random fashion. In fits and starts, Amatin blasts away from Durin's strongholds and resumes the senseless destruction of the Garden.

The Citadel rolls 7
Yerkan rolls 11

Thrash curls the mountain gently around Yerkan and Aides just in time - Yerkan has tired of dodging the increasingly rapid blasts of arrowfire from the Citadel. Not a mark is on him as Thrash yanks the earthen body back to safety.

And through it all, Osis mindlessly churns on.

Doesn't look like I'm getting into that Citadel, though. Durin's protected, but that thing is still destroying the garden...

I think we should inject the virus into Mix, if we can. Get it to stop a**i Favors of the most powerful being in existence, that sort of thing.

"Hahahaha!"

On the back of a screaming gliding lizard, the tawny creature comes flying in. He is holding what appears to be an armful of magma from the Lava Molt, which he proceeds to throw at ornament targets carefully chosen for their beauty and location: they spell out a rude word of power, which crackles and discharges with a Steep energy, tossing everyone to the ground and singeing the hair and beards of all assembled, even Great Thrash's clay beard, and opening fissures all the way to the Frozen Ocean. Little silvery-blue creatures burst out of the fissure in a swarm and burrow away again into the glassy ice.

"Those big slugs have the right idea! Gotta shake things up a bit! Hahaha. Go on, Yerkan, try and get into the Citadel again! I'll help this time...with all my might! As much as I can summon! Hahahhahaa."

He finds something about this prospect amusing, more than just the suggestion itself. You almost feel he might be serious about his offer to help.

The creature lands astride Osis, dodging lasers with ease, and goads the Sslug to faster action. When it doesn't comply, he screams like an ape and throws handfuls of slime at everyone who saw him fail.

Then he is off again, running deeper into the Garden, appearing at various times to wreak more havoc.

The Sslug in the Tower takes full advantage of this, of course, and with a huge blast of Favor any havoc of the creature is magnified tenfold in affliction upon the Garden.
