If anyone is new to the forum and looking for deity ideas, this is the right thread!


I'll start us off:
Jane, the sentient universe-wide computer software from the Enderverse, first appears in Speaker for the Dead. She'd be an awesome deity!

A gambler god who pretends to be mortal 1st level characters and can be in several places at once.
Reports back to his peers and asks for bets about what will happen next.

This would be perfect for someone who plays a lot of campaigns but doesn't run any. And it'd be good recruitment material!

Can you imagine someone like Odysseus saying "Hey Zeus, want to be a more powerful god?"

-A gluttonous god who houses an alternate universe in his gut. He devours all his foes, and during times of weakness his friends and followers. He appreciates a feast of all sizes and is worshiped by many who aren't even aware of it.
-A goddess of force. One that alters the fields of electricity, gravity, and another energies to her whim. Creating worlds both usual and unusual, unleashing torrents of fiery hot friction, 1000's of pounds of sheer gravitational force, all while protecting herself with the core foundry of force magic.
-A god of livestock. Worshiped by shepherds and farmers alike, he gathers strength from the herds of healthy beasts of burden. In his eyes, even the wildest of beasts can be tamed to pull the plow and do good over destruction.

The Goddess of Seasons, who changes her forum name and personality four times a year.
